Salu’s professional career has spanned 17 years in London, followed by her return to her roots in the West Midlands.
- Qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton in 1988
- General Physiotherapy, including Musculo-skeletal, Respiratory, Cardiac rehab, Oncoloy, General Orthopaedics and General Surgery and Neurology at the Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals within the NHS
- Neurological Rehabilitation at the private Cromwell Hospital
- Post Neuro surgery & Neuro-rehab at the Wellington Hospital
- Seven years as Therapy Manager at the London Independent Hospital
- Manager at Capio and Care UK Care homes
- Consulted on Harley Street
Salu’s treatments include:-
- Hands on treatment modalities to guide and re-educate normal movement (mainly Bobath)
- Gait (walking) re-education, sitting posture
- Facilitation of improved balance in static and dynamic positions
- Muscle strengthening and stretches
- Decreasing painful joints, such as ‘shoulder-hand syndrome’
- Splinting, aids and equipment advice
- Help with the functional activities of daily living
- Advice to family members and carers
- And most importantly, advice on exercise regimes and Self Management
